For students who have taken VSA Future classes in spring 2026.
For students ages 13 and up (8th grade and up in Fall 2026 or turning 13 by Dec 2026)
Scholastic students attend 8 group lectures, each focused on a particular writing skill or technique. Over the course of the program, students produce 4 essays for submission to Scholastic. Students also receive 8 hours of 1-on-1 sessions with a writing teacher.
Additional essays (+ 1-on-1 sessions) available for purchase, only for students who have signed up for the workshop.
Prerequisites: After registration, students will receive two prerequisite writing prompts. Students must submit their written responses to the prompts by the deadline provided.
1-on-1 sessions will be scheduled based on teacher/student availability.
There is a prepayment of $100 at registration that is applied to the invoice. The prepayment is nonrefundable and nontransferable.
Note: Make-up sessions are not offered for lectures. Each student will receive a recording of the lecture for make-ups and for reference while writing.
Additional essays and 1-on-1 sessions available as an add-on for Workshop students. Not available for individual purchase.
